Kathleen Baxter is a native of Walnut Grove, Minnesota, Laura Ingalls Wilder's home in On the Banks of Plum Creek. She is a children's literature consultant based in Minneapolis, writes the Non-Fiction Booktalker column in School Library Journal, is the author of four Gotcha booktalking books from Libraries Unlimited, including the new Gotcha for Guys, and presents all-day seminars for BER, the Bureau of Education and Research. She has spoken at many conferences all over the USA.
